Alliance for Justice - The Alliance for Justice is a national association of environmental, civil rights, mental health, women's, children's and consumer advocacy organizations. Since its inception in 1979, the Alliance has worked to advance the cause of justice for all Americans, strengthen the public interest community's ability to influence public policy, and foster the next generation of advocates.

Alliance for National Renewal - nationwide initiative involving a unique network of over 150 national and local civic organizations dedicated to renewing America's communities.

All Stars Project Inc. - Founded in 1981, the New York non-profit All Stars Project, Inc. produces performance-oriented programs that foster human development and growth, particularly in poor communities.

Ashoka: Innovators for the Public - A global not-for-profit organization that finds and supports outstanding individuals with ideas for far-reaching social change.

Benton Foundation: A long list of outstanding tools to help nonprofits make effective use of communications and information technologies.

Center for Leadership Studies - The Center for Leadership Studies is a nonprofit research and educational institution organized by Binghamton University, State University of New York, in 1987. Their mission is to contribute to the understanding and to identify the importance of a full range of leadership and its applications.

Centre for Management and Technology - Provides strategic planning, consulting, management and technology solutions at little or no cost to eligible nonprofit organizations. Established in 2002, the Centre has worked with over a hundred nonprofit organizations across the United States and overseas to implement improved business processes and technology.

Children Now - Children Now uses research and mass communications to make the well being of children a top priority across the nation.

Community of Science Web Site - The Community of Science World Wide Web server contains information about scientific Expertise, funded scientific research, and funding opportunities for research.

CompassPoint nonprofit services - Formally known as the Support Center, CompassPoint is a nonprofit consulting and training organization with offices in San Fransisco and the Silicon Valley.

Consultant Directory for Nonprofit Organizations, U.W. Milwaukee - The UW-Milwaukee Consultant Directory is a searchable database of local consultants providing services to nonprofit organizations.

Corporate Alternatives Inc. (CAi) - CAi has been providing training to not-for-profit organizations, trade associations, foundations and units of government since 1982. The president of the company, Peter Brinckerhoff, has been a  faculty member for the "Mission Based Management" program produced by the Learning Institute.

The Cosmic Warehouse - Information, networking, and services for Health, Education, and Human Need. Energize Inc. - Whether you are a paid director of volunteers or an officer of an all-volunteer association, this website can help you! They are an international consulting, training and publishing firm specializing in volunteerism. President Susan Ellis will be teaching a course for the Learning institute in 1998.

Environmental Support Center - Since 1990, the Environmental Support Center (ESC) has assisted almost 1300 local, state and regional organizations working on environmental issues. Hurwit & Associates - This legal firm specializes in legal assistance for philanthropy and the nonprofit sector. The site includes a number of free legal articles and resources.

IKNOW - Expressly designed to give the nonprofit community information it can use. Unlike using a major search engine, the careful selection and organization of content on IKNOW is designed to save time usually spent weeding through tens and hundreds of pages that are not exactly what you were looking for.

Iowa Nonprofit Resource Center - The Iowa Nonprofit Resource Center is a University of Iowa interdisciplinary collaboration to make more accessible educational and service programs focused on strengthening the operational capacity of Iowa nonprofit organizations. The Center provides information and training resources to charitable, nonprofit organizations and interested persons throughout Iowa.

The James MacGregor Burns Academy of Leadership - This University of Maryland Center  fosters principled leadership through scholarship, education, and training, with special attention to advancing the leadership of groups historically underrepresented in public life. Working from the belief that there is leadership in every person, the Academy studies, trains, and teaches emerging and experienced leaders to cross boundaries - between theory and practice, business and government, majority and minority groups, and among nations. 

Johns Hopkins University: Center for Civil Society Study - The Center for Civil Society Study is engaged in a wide variety of research and capacity-building activities designed to improve understanding of the role that philanthropy and nonprofit organizations play in modern society and to strengthen the capacity of these organizations to carry out their missions.

KDV - KDV is a for-profit firm of certified public accountants and management consultants providing services primarily in the seven county metropolitan area of Minneapolis Minnesota. The Nonprofit Expert - This is a for-profit site sponsored by Minges and Associates LLC, a consulting firm specializing in nonprofits. The site provides specific resources (free) on everything from starting a nonprofit to fundraising.

Nonprofit Managers' Library - The Nonprofit Managers' Library facilitates sharing of free, on-line and how-to management resources among nonprofits. This web resource has been managed for years by Dr. Carter McNamara of Authenticity Consulting LLC.

Nonprofit Prophets - Students in 9th and 10th grade English, social studies, science, health, and applied technology classes will serve as core teams investigating a problem in local or global communities that they think needs fixing.

Nonprofit Risk Management Center - Helps nonprofit staff and volunteers control risks so they can focus on their missions.

Points of Light Foundation - Established in 1990, the Points of Light Foundation is an independent, nonpartisan, nonprofit organization that works with the support of caring Americans who believe that volunteerism can be a powerful antidote to the social problems that afflict neighborhoods and communities.

United Way of America - United Way of America (UWA) is the national service and training center supporting member United Ways by helping them pursue dual strategies of adding value to the community and conducting cost-effective, donor oriented fund-raising to increase financial resources.
